Client Service Agreement and Terms & Conditions

This Agreement is entered into between:

My French Property Match (Gillian Borrill)

and

The Client (“the Client”)

upon acceptance of services and payment of the agreed fee.

Scope of Service

My French Property Match provides an independent property search and matching service for buyers seeking property in France.


Services may include:

  • initial consultation

  • property search assistance

  • area guidance

  • introduction to local estate agents or property professionals

  • shortlist preparation

  • general support during the search process

  • ad-hoc support


My French Property Match is not acting as a French estate agency, legal advisor, mortgage broker, surveyor, or financial advisor.

Client Acknowledgement

By proceeding with the service, the Client confirms that:

  • the information provided in the Property Brief and consultation is accurate to the best of their knowledge

  • they understand that property availability may change at any time

  • they remain responsible for all final decisions regarding property purchase

  • they are encouraged to seek independent legal, financial, tax, and professional advice before committing to any purchase

Fees & Payment

Fees shown on this website are subject to change without notice. However, any fees agreed and confirmed within a signed contract will be honoured for the duration of that agreement.


The service includes reasonable ongoing support throughout the property search and purchasing process. Substantial changes to the original brief, location requirements or scope of the search may require a revised agreement or additional fees.


Fees are non-refundable once work has commenced.


Payment of any invoice or agreed fee confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Nature of Service

My French Property Match agrees to carry out a tailored search based on the Client’s stated requirements and to use reasonable efforts to identify suitable opportunities and professional contacts.


However, My French Property Match cannot guarantee:

  • that a suitable property will be found

  • successful purchase of a property

  • availability of properties viewed or discussed

  • outcomes of negotiations or transactions


The final purchase process remains strictly between the Client and the relevant seller, agent, notaries, or professional party.

Introductions to Third Parties

The Client understands that introductions may be made to:

  • estate agents

  • notaires

  • currency exchange providers

  • visa advisors

  • translators

  • mortgage brokers

  • other relevant professionals


My French Property Match is not responsible for the services, advice, or conduct of third-party providers.


The Client remains responsible for conducting their own due diligence.

Confidentiality

All information shared by the Client will be treated confidentially and used solely for the purpose of assisting with the property search and related services.


Client details will not be shared unnecessarily with third parties without consent.

Limitation of Liability

My French Property Match provides an independent property search and matching service and does not act as an estate agent, legal advisor, financial advisor or surveyor.


While all reasonable care is taken in providing guidance, recommendations and introductions, My French Property Match shall not be held responsible for:

  • the condition, value or suitability of any property

  • the outcome of any property transaction

  • advice or services provided by third-party professionals (including estate agents, notaires, mortgage brokers, currency providers, or other advisors)

  • any inaccuracies or changes in property details, availability, or market conditions

  • financial loss,delays or issues arising during or after the purchase process


The client acknowledges that all decisions relating to property purchases are made entirely at their own decision and risk.


Liability Cap

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of My French Property Match arising out of or in connection with the services provided shall be limited to the total fees paid by the client, up to a maximum of £2000.

Exclusions

Nothing in this agreement shall limit or exclude liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law


By engaging the services of My French Property Match, the client confirms they accept these terms.

Cancellation

The Client may cancel the service at any time in writing.

However:

  • the initial payment is non-refundable once search work has commenced

  • any outstanding balance remains payable for work already completed and services delivered

Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Acceptance

By proceeding with the services provided by My French Property Match the Client confirms that they:

  • have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

  • agree to pay the agreed fees in full under the payment structure outlined above
